About this course

This training supports early years staff to create high‑quality learning environments that meet the diverse and changing needs of their children. Delegates will explore challenges in their own settings, learn from other practitioners, and see inspirational environment examples. Between sessions, there is dedicated time to reflect on current practice and apply practical strategies and planned adaptations straight away.

  • understand the key elements that should be included in order to create a high-quality early years learning environment

  • reflect on how the environment can support children to practise and embed the skills needed to meet your curriculum aims

  • review how you make adaptations to the environment in response to the needs of your current cohort, valuing a sense of belonging and positive representation

  • recognise the adult’s role in providing and facilitating an enabling environment
