Join us to discover innovative and exciting methods for supporting children's physical development. We will explore both gross and fine motor skills, emphasising the importance of nurturing these abilities from the earliest age. Have you ever considered what happens beyond the visible aspects of physical development? It is a continuous process that plays a crucial role in healthy child growth. We will reflect on your current practices and identify ways to elevate the profile of physical play within your curriculum, ensuring it is accessible to every child across all age groups.

  • ensure the whole early years team understand the importance of physical development for young children

  • learn about the sequence of child development that links to the science and growth of the human body

  • develop confidence in planning and delivering both gross and fine motor activities and threading opportunities throughout the day

  • learning how children can enjoy physical play that involves risk and your role in facilitating this safely
