About this course

This module clarifies what effective attachment aware and trauma informed practice looks like at an ordinarily available level. It focuses on universal relational strategies that support safety, consistency and emotional connection, helping staff understand the importance of trusted adults and the role they play in building secure relationships.

The session explores how attuned responses, clear boundaries and timely repair can be embedded within everyday classroom practice to strengthen emotional safety and promote inclusive behaviour. Participants will consider how relational consistency, emotional literacy and confident adult responses help create predictable environments where all learners feel understood. The content supports staff to integrate practical, relationship based approaches that enhance wellbeing and daily interactions.

This is module 5 of five fully funded 90 minute online sessions designed to enhance inclusive practice and improve the quality of OAP across Hertfordshire schools. Each module is delivered live, with the option to revisit recorded content, and is suitable for all phases, supporting confident, inclusive learning environments.
