About this course

This module supports staff to understand behaviour as a communication of need and to respond with consistent, inclusive strategies within universal provision. It explores ADHD informed approaches, predictable routines and relational practice, highlighting how clear structures and emotionally safe environments reduce escalation and promote positive, regulated behaviour for all pupils.

The session also considers proactive classroom design and scaffolds that increase predictability, support co regulation and strengthen everyday Ordinarily Available Provision.

This is module 2 of five fully funded 90 minute online sessions designed to enhance inclusive practice and improve the quality of OAP across Hertfordshire schools. Each module is delivered live, with the option to revisit recorded content, and is suitable for all phases, supporting confident, inclusive learning environments.

  • embed consistent routines and clear expectations to promote predictability and safety

  • apply ADHD informed classroom strategies that strengthen inclusive everyday practice

  • strengthen relational practice and co regulation to support pupils’ emotional wellbeing
