About this course

This safeguarding-focused RSHE briefing explores new harmful sexual behaviour content in the updated DfE guidance, and within the Ofsted framework. This includes HSB updates to curriculum provision, digital literacy, online misogyny and tools to support the prevention of violence against women and girls (VAWG). It supports schools to update curriculum content and respond effectively to national concerns, including key areas raised in the Government’s national VAWG strategy.

  • understand key local and national concerns regarding VAWG prevention

  • explore new curriculum content including HSB and online misogyny

  • identify gaps in curriculum provision and explore age-appropriate responses

  • explore digital literacy as a protective factor in RSHE and safeguarding

  • understand the local service provider’s offer and applicable resource support

  • learn how HFL training and resources can support curriculum development
