About this course

These in‑person moderation clusters give Year 2 teachers the chance to discuss writing evidence and assessment judgments with colleagues from other schools. Teachers are encouraged to bring work from at least three pupils, including two around the WTS/EXS cusp and one who is either a strong EXS or working at Greater Depth. Further session details will be shared with delegates in advance.

  • increased confidence in understanding standards and expectations at the end of KS1

  • opportunities to articulate their thinking about how they have assessed children’s standards

  • clear understanding of any gaps in their writing evidence and areas to focus on before the end of the year
